- Acca
- Short for accumulator, a bet that combines multiple selections into one, with winnings rolling over each winning pick.
- Arbitrage
- A betting strategy that exploits differing odds across sportsbooks to guarantee a profit regardless of the outcome.
- Asian Handicap
- A split handicap that reduces the possible outcomes to two, eliminating draws and providing a margin for half or quarter points.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for betting, used to manage how much you wager.
- Cash Out
- The option to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss based on current odds.
- Cashback
- A promotion that returns a portion of a player's losses over a set period, usually as a free bet or bonus.
- Future
- A bet placed on an outcome that will be decided later, such as which team wins the World Cup.
- Handicap
- A points adjustment applied to a team's final score to give one side an artificial advantage for betting.
- In-Play
- The same as live betting; refers to odds and markets available during the match.
- Juice
- The commission a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, usually built into the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A mathematical formula that calculates the optimal size of a bet based on the perceived edge and odds.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win a match outright, with odds reflecting each team's likelihood.
- Odds
- The chance of an outcome happening, expressed as a number that determines how much a winning bet pays out.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be more or less than a set line.
- Parlay

- Prop Bet
- A wager on a specific event within a match, such as which player scores first, rather than the final result.
- Provably Fair
- A system that lets players verify that each game result was generated fairly, using cryptographic proof.
- Push
- A tie result where the bet is returned and no money is lost or won.
- RTP
- RTP stands for Return to Player, indicating the average share of wagers a game pays back to players over many plays.
- Spread
- A point advantage given to the underdog team, used to level the betting field between two sides.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- Volatility
